It’s not often that we know the provenance of a piece. This adorable little RAF sweetheart brooch came into the shop yesterday. We had to by it, but we shan’t sell it as the tale is just too sweet (and heartbreaking). It’s dated 1939 and was given to a lady called Nora by her beloved who was a pilot in the RAF. Sadly he never returned as his plane was shot down. It’s stayed in the family until then.
